March – December 2008, Teater Garasi starts  a new program, Forum Studi Naskah Lakon (Forum for Playwriting Study). Initiated and fascilitated by Teater Garasi, this program intention is to discuss and delve into playwriting based on Indonesian contemporary context. This program will be followed by young writers, theater artists, critics and relevant experts, selected and invited by Teater Garasi. At the end of the program (planned for anually), some new plays are expected as the results, which one or some of them will be performed and published by Teater Garasi.
